Shipping policy for Turned In Stone products:
most every Turned In Stone order will be set up as a direct ship for US continental shipments. Foreign shipments will come to us first, then we will ship outside of the US. Orders shipping to Hawaii and Alaska can be set up as direct ships from Turned In Stone. Orders going to PR, and the USVI will ship to us first and then we will ship via Priority Mail to your areas. US Priority Mail now has flat rate boxes with an "exceptionally" low shipping rate.
SOME Turned In Stone orders for the granite corner shelves / soap dishes will ship from our stock. The corner shelves in popular colors are something we choose to stock in small quantities. (Orders shipping from us
will have freight calculated by weight and the zip code they are shipping to - or country code. It is different from the direct ship rates shown below.)
Continental US shipments (48 States) Direct ship rates from Turned In Stone:

Any knob and pull (handle) orders:
qty 1 or 2 = $8 (considered sample size order)
qty 3 to 8 = $11
qty 9 to 40 = $16
qty 41 to 80 = $26
qty 81+ = $45
Any bath items: towel bars, towel rings, TP holders, water faucets, and robe hooks
qty 1 to 4 = $16
qty 5 to 8 = $31
qty 9 to 12 = $45
qty 13 or more = $49 + $4 per item over 13.
Soap dishes / corner shelves:
qty 1 or 2 small, or 1 large = $16
qty 3 to 5 small, or 2 to 3 large = $21
qty 6 to 10 small, or 4 to 6 large = $40
qty 11+ small, or 7+ large = $44 + $4 per item over.
These shipping tiers are based on average distances traveled, weight of packaging, complexity of packing items safely, and the value of the order. Six large corner shelve could ship in the same box, but if you order 8,
that would create a need to ship your order as two boxes for safer protection. Too much weight on top the last shelf in the bottom of the stack could result in damage if the shipper should drop a box or drop kick it. If
you order 90 granite handles at an average cost of $16 to $17, that is almost a $1500 order. Insurance will be put on the box and SPECIAL packaging will be used to protect the handles. Mixed orders of say, 2 towel bars,
1 TP holder, 2 small corner shelves, 2 large corner shelves, and 10 cabinet handles will have to be judged by the various tiers above. That is technically 7 pieces of bathroom items and 10 pulls. The large corner
shelves are heavy, usually 5 to 6 pounds each. So an order like that most likely would ship at the $40 rate. The 10 cabinet handles add little weight and little insurance cost. (As of Jan. 2010, UPS insurance is 70
cents per $100 of value, that is not much. For $1500 of insurance, that is $10.50. Postal insurance follows a different formula.)
Shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, USVI, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Bahamas, etc.
We will estimate the shipping in advance of you placing your order if you like. Shipments to these destinations
will not follow the tier structure shown above for the continental US 48 states. Turned In Stone will direct ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. Orders going outside of the US or Canada, including PR and the USVI,
normally will come to us first and then we chose to ship via International Priority Mail. We can ship 40 to 50 granite knobs in a medium postal flat rate box. That box going to US zip codes (and US zip codes do include,
PR, USVI, Guam, and several other off shore islands) currently is at a rate of $10.70. The large flat rate box is $14.50. Insurance and delivery confirmation add a few dollars to the shipping cost. These flat rate boxes
going to Australia and the UK are $48 and $61 rates, and allow up to 20 pounds internationally. They allow up to 70 pounds domestically. The shortfall on the flat rate boxes is, we cannot fit a towel bar in them, they
are limited in size and will not protect some products the way we want them protected, and they just cannot be used for all orders. Sorry. They are great for small heavy stuff, and we will use them to save you money the
best we can. That example we gave above of the 2 towel bars, 1 TP holder, 4 granite shelves and 10 knobs: an order like this going to Alaska or Hawaii (PR, USVI, and Guam too) could cost $50 to $80 to ship, depends on
the final weight. Same thing going to Australia or the UK, possibly $80 to $120 to ship - through the post office. UPS and Fed Ex are definitely more expensive. Same thing going to Canada, could be about $40 via UPS
Standard to Canada, but then those brokerage fees kick in on the Canadian side; could be $60 to $80 via the postal system with less scrutiney with customs and fees.
So if you are in the continental US, shipping
fees will follow the schedule above, and the average between groupings when you have an assortment of products. If you are in Canada or offshore of the North American continent, we will gladly estimate shipping in
advance of your order. You will need to let us know what your order will consist of so we can calculate the estimated weight.

STONE GRANITE KNOBS AND HANDLES COME STANDARD POLISHED. THEY ARE NOT JUST LACQUERED OVER, THEY ARE REALLY POLISHED. AND NOW TURNED IN STONE WILL OFFER ALL KNOBS AND PULLS IN A HONED FINISH. A HONED FINISH IS SMOOTH, BUT
NOT SHINY. IF YOU WOULD LIKE THE HONED FINISH, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO STATE SO WHEN ORDERING. OTHERWISE, THE GRANITE PRODUCTS WILL BE MADE WITH THE STANDARD POLISHED FINISH.

Please complete your part number by typing all codes IN CAPITAL LETTERS, or type out the granite name. Please watch your part numbers, many are just a letter or two different.
Granite knobs and pulls are custom made, so it is important to get it right the first time. Our on-line ordering form has a comments/instructions field, please fill in any additional comments that you would like.
The Big Mushroom (BM) and Small Mushroom (SM) knobs are the only knobs without metallic complements. All other Turned In Stone knobs and pulls and bathroom faucets are available with these 8 metallic accents:
AB for antique brass
AC for antique copper
AP for antique pewter
BB for burnished brass

SN for satin nickel. Bath hardware has metal choices of CH or SN only. The two letter codes for the metallic choices are in every part number. Then there are specific codes for the
